And the Lord appointed a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights…
…saying, “I called out to the Lord, out of my distress, and he answered me; out of the belly of Sheol I cried, and you heard my voice.
…And the Lord spoke to the fish, and it vomited Jonah out upon the dry land.
Jonah is one good example of what happens in the life of a Christian is he/she tries to force his/her way out of the will of God or i can say a mission set before you by God. God can send a fish into your life to bring u back into His will “this is done not as a sign of anger but that of love”, that which u love u protect from danger in all ways possible including taking away things that may hurt that person. When God set you on a mission he pulls together resources and Jonah had all the resources but he simply choose to ignore. When God tells u to do something He knows He has already provided you with the resources already. Running away from the will or mission of God will throw you under serious troubles in life, because u will be like a fish running away from water.
A mission or will of God is the most powerful n greater than any other will or assignment…. Attending church is more important than any other activity. It is also in functioning or operating in the mission that God would have assigned u that guarantees u protection, God cannot send u to preach with or to serve in church yet allowing sickness to be upon u… That’s y Jesus had to heal Peter’s mother in law before so that she will serve Him
If u run away from the mission of God you put other people’s lives at a great risk. You fail to pray for people that you are supposed to pray for n they will continue to suffer until u release that you have to pray for them…. Israel would suffer longer in captivity because Moses had not yet said yes to the will
Functioning in the will of God attracts a special grace on its own. God will never at any time tell u to embark on a journey without enough provision to fulfill the journey. When Jesus send out His disciples He made sure they carried with then a grace for miracles. No matter what u have done that might have diverted you from the will of God, He is faithful to give you a second chance.
Jonah prayed to God n He was given another chance
Samson prayed and God gave him another chance
It’s not too late to embark on the mission that God might have assigned upon your life. Running away will leave u in pain. Others you are called to be doctors but you are accounts that’s why you hate your job. Others were called to be artists someone is waiting to hear a message that you carry but you are busy working in an office or in the streets that’s why your hustles a so hard. Others God assigned you to be financially helper in ministry so that the gospel will go forward but you don’t give or tithe no wonder you lose money mysteriously… Or just find the money not been enough
