Greatest objective of Christianity

Luke 10vs19-20

Behold, I have given you authority to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall hurt you. “Nevertheless, do not rejoice in this, that the spirits are subject to you, but rejoice that your names are written in heaven.”

Salvation of the soul is at the heart of God. Our joy should not be based solely on experiencing miracles and the gifts of the Holy Spirit; rather, we should rejoice even more that our names are written in heaven.

The greatest objective and mission in Christianity is having our names written in heaven more than experiencing miracles, signs, and wonders. Matthew 6:33 says, “But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”

Seeking the kingdom and ensuring your soul’s salvation should be the priority of dedicating our faith in Christ. God isn’t ignorant of our earthly needs, but rather, to Him, the desire for our souls to be saved and our names written in heaven should outweigh our desire for miracles.

It is very possible to experience miracles, signs, and wonders but still perish. Matthew 7:21 says, “Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.” However, you cannot believe in His name and not be saved. You cannot call upon the name of the Lord and not be saved. Romans 10:13 says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Your salvation matters more than miracles. The greatest joy should be having your name written in the book of heaven. Put your faith in the Son of God and devote your ways to Him. There is more joy in doing so than in experiencing miracles, signs, and wonders.
